Like their animal namesake, those born under the sign of the Ant are tireless workers. They can handle the kind of workload that would crush other people, but this can take its toll on other areas of their lives. Ants don’t have a lot of hobbies. They prefer mastering one or two skills and stick to those unless they think they can get further ahead a different way. Ants are extremely ambitious and though they may seem almost boring on the outside they are internally driven toward greatness.
One of the greatest life challenges for this sign is learning to balance their work with the rest of their lives. Far too often Ants push aside all personal joy in order to get as close to perfection as possible. Relationships work for them because they love to help others achieve their goals by creating plans and offering other assistance, but too often this only comes between long stretches of self-focused work.
Ants expect a lot from themselves, and they also expect a lot from others. They have little tolerance for those who they don’t think are giving their all. In truth Ants can be judgmental to the point of being conceited. They want and expect the best from everyone and often find themselves disappointed that others don’t or can’t live up to their standards.
Compatibility
Social situations are somewhat unnatural for this sign. They have a hard time relaxing and not thinking about all the work they could be doing instead. Despite this, Ants actually make very good friends. They are always willing to lend a helping hand along with loads of advice for self-improvement. Those they feel comfortable with get to see their softer side and feel lucky when they get the rare opportunity to socialize with them.
Romantic relationships are significantly more challenging for this sign. Not only do they tend to judge others’ imperfections harshly, they also don’t make a lot of time for relationships. Perhaps in their minds they think that once they have achieved a certain status or success level they will be able to attract the kind of mate they fantasize about having, but in truth they will only find real happiness once they learn how balance their lives enough to make room for love. This is a particularly difficult challenge for Ants, but achieving balance is often their very life purpose. The sooner Ants can transcend their need for success and achievement, the sooner they will find balance, happiness, and love.
Careers & Goals
The tireless work ethic and willingness to put in endless hours make Ants ideal employees in just about any situation. Bosses love them because they know they can always count on them. Their lack of social skills makes sales a long shot of a career choice, but conversely they are fantastic at any kind of operations career. Ants often get promoted to management, but this is not a great fit either. They tend to be too overbearing and run their team so strictly that nobody wants to work under them.
Ants do best when they can put their all into work without relying on others to share in the workload - a situation they always end up disappointed in. Ants make great engineers of any ilk - software, mechanics, architecture,etc. They will always go above and beyond to make sure they impress. Despite their weakness at social interaction, members of this sign are also great in Real Estate. To an Ant buying a new car or home is a sign of success. They can genuinely talk about and get excited with situations where people are moving up in the world, and this genuine interest and penchant for going above and beyond make this field a great fit.
