primal zodiac sign
Taurus + Rooster
Persistent, eccentric, and romantic, those born under the Primal Zodiac sign of the Beaver are hard workers who prefer to create their own universe rather than wait for life to happen to them. Beavers usually maintain a cool exterior, and can be straightforward to the point of being blunt. They don’t sugarcoat what they want to say; they consider that a waste of everyone's time. At the same time, Beavers don’t like to hear the hard truth about themselves. They want so badly to succeed and to avoid making mistakes that they often get TOO focused on the details and miss the big picture. Beavers HATE to look foolish or incompetent, so they must always be one step ahead of everyone else, which can be exhausting and is often unnecessary.
In the animal kingdom few creatures transform their surrounding environment as much as beavers do. By building their dams they are altering the flow of the environment all around them. In human societies this kind of activity is much more likely to cause disruption to the neighbors, co-workers, and family surrounding them. Humans born under the sign of the Beaver often don’t have the liberty to change their environment as readily as their animal namesakes do. Humans are smart enough to have some idea of how their actions would affect those around them, thus they have to be more careful and diplomatic in building their empire unless they want to face a large amount of opposition along the way.
And build an empire they will. Most Beavers are extremely dedicated to the idea of success, and most will want to succeed by doing things their own way. Careers are of great importance as this is their primary method of proving that they have been successful in life. Members of this sign like having nice surroundings. They will likely indulge in their home or office setup, splurging on the best of the best as another way of proving their success to themselves and others. Truly the biggest danger for Beavers is becoming too self-focused. In their quest for success and a place in history, those born under this sign face the danger of losing track of what is really important in life and often will sacrifice relationships to chase their goals.
Being a blend of two self-focused and determined signs, Taurus and Rooster, this sign has good intentions but can easily find themselves spiraling into depression and anxiety which leads them to a place of burnout and disappointment. Taurus needs security and the Rooster needs to be constantly achieving. Taurus hates change but needs change to succeed while the Rooster has big dreams that usually end up being less fulfilling than originally imagined. As with every Primal Zodiac sign, the two sides of a person’s birth sign must be balanced in order for that person to become balanced. Beavers must learn to take time out from working and use that time to build rewarding relationships that have no end-goal in mind.
Younger Beavers like to be out and about, keeping up with the social scene in which they are well known. In reality, members of this sign keep a small, tight circle of friends, though they usually have a lot of acquaintances that make them seem very popular. As they get older, chances are that Beavers will trade their social life for their career without hesitation. This is not necessarily good or bad, but those seeking friendship with Beavers should know not to take it personally when their friend disappears for long periods of time to work on their latest venture. Becoming friends with Beavers is fairly easy. They always have a topic they are passionate about and are easily manipulated through flattery.
In romantic relationships, Beavers are passionate and even romantic when they find someone they want to be with. Honest and loyal to their mates, they want nothing more than to let their significant other have everything they desire - success, security, and pride. Of course, Beavers expect that they will be providing all of this for their mates, and if this isn’t the case expect there to be some self-esteem issues on the part of the Beaver. What they really want most in a relationship is to have someone who believes in them. To have a partner who respects, admires, and believes in them and their dreams is necessary for a relationship to work. Those who are willing to be this person will find a loving companion for life (though Roosters do have a reputation for seeking the flattery of other potential mates.)
Careers & Goals
The patient and focused Beaver is great with details. They excel in any career that requires careful research or trouble-shooting skills. Most have little trouble with technology, but their true gift is with finance and accounting. Anything having to do with numbers will likely appeal to them, but above all Beavers are naturally excellent auditors who are willing to sift through the small details to get to the big picture. That said, unless they are either owners of the auditing company or can make aggressive strides to improve their position, a simple desk job may not be enough for some members of this sign.
Beavers are also persistent to the point of being stubborn. They won’t change course if they think they are right. They are self-sufficient and like to be in charge, which makes it difficult for them to stay in a position where they are constantly told what to do and when to do it. Perhaps they need to learn to listen to others and ask for help when necessary, but good luck telling them that. Instead, most Beavers will already have an idea of how they want to make their mark on the world. Indeed, it is the career itself and not just the success within a career that is important to them. For a Beaver, the success of their career equals their self-worth. As long as they are moving forward, they will be alright, but once they hit the glass ceiling, don’t expect them to stick around for long. Members of this sign will find their own way in their own time; they just need to learn to be as patient as they are persistent.
